Rail Futures are dedicated to sourcing and positioning candidates
highly skilled, secure, and promising career opportunities within the rail industry. We link
Colleges with employers to address the skills they need to support and build the UK rail
infrastructure where there is currently a 69,000 skills shortfall. We work with local colleges to
support individuals to gain employment on the rail infrastructure. We currently have work
opportunities in the region. On successful completion of the course a learner will gain practical
skills for use in the industry and industry recognised qualifications:
City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Rail Engineering Track Maintenance.

Seymour Skills Academy offer a 6-week Gateway to construction course,
which through the help of the Tees Valley combined authority can be fully funded to anyone age 19+,
living within the Tees Valley area, unemployed or earning less than
£33,210 per year and have been a UK resident for 3 years or more. Qualifications will include: CSCS
Green Card. Asbestos Awareness, Abrasive Wheels, and Face fit, NRSWA Street works etc.
