We are a Carers Service in Stockton who are able to support people who are affected by a loved one’s substance use offering support, advice, guidance and counselling to those providing care for a person affected by drug or alcohol addiction. We support parents, partners, children, grandparents and siblings and our service is open to anybody living in the Stockton Borough.

CGL (Change grow live) provide 1 to 1 support for young people and young adults involved with substance/ alcohol use, up to the age of 25 years old. We can do:

  • Targeted group work with people up to 25 years old.
  • Awareness sessions for staff and students
  • Confidential drop in sessions to fit around school times (before/ after school, during breaks and lunch times.)
  • - Talks in assemblies/ lessons etc.

Daisy Chain supports and empowers autistic and neurodivergent individuals through the provision of holistic person-centred services, whilst promoting training, wellbeing, inclusion, and acceptance regionally and nationwide.
Founded over 20 years ago and based on a 5.5-acre site in Stockton on Tees, the charity now supports over 5,000 individuals per year and has two large retail stores in Stockton and Gateshead.

Family Action offer a support service to people who are wanting to make positive steps towards employment, Education, or training. Our eligibility criteria are:

  • Aged 18+ (16 and 17 year olds may be considered in exceptional circumstances).
  • Ideally Stockton or Middlesbrough residents but we will support anyone living in the Tees Valley.
  • Currently NEET but wants to make positive changes and move forward.

We also have funding available to support people in the journey towards employment.

The Refugee Employability Programme is provided in your area by Reed in Partnership. We have three partner organisations: Catch22, Shaw Trust and Triage. You will get the same service whichever organisation you see. Reed in Partnership has been helping people to change their lives for the better since 1998. We have helped more than 250,000 people to find a job. We have also helped over 20,000 refugees who have arrived in England.

The STEPs service supports adults with disabilities and adults aged 50+ at risk of social isolation and loneliness, living in Stockton. The STEPs service work with people on a one-to-one basis to help them find opportunities and community activities which match their interests. STEPs support people to access the activities until they are confident and independent.
