Whenever possible, we like to head out and visit our Hub Heroes who are shining in their new roles. This week, we headed to KFC at Teesside Park to catch up with Debra who successfully secured a Team Member role back in July.
Debra was totally committed to moving back into employment and attended several courses to boost her skills. After interviewing for a couple of positions and unfortunately being unsuccessful, Debra never gave up. ‘’The Hub team always believed in me and encouraged me to keep going. They reassured me that the perfect opportunity would come my way if I kept trying, and it did!’’. Moving on to attend a Customer Service Level 2 course with guaranteed interviews here at The Hub, Debra secured a permanent position with KFC. She is now 3 months in and has successfully completed her probation period.
Kelly, Restaurant Manager, said ‘’Debra is doing amazingly well, she is great with the guests and super friendly. She is an asset to our team and one of our best employees, always giving 100% to everything she does. We were lucky to find her with the help of The Hub!’’
On reflection, we asked Debra to tell us about her experience with the Hub ‘’I would 100% recommend The Hub to others. The help of the team allowed Kelly to see the potential in me and offer me my perfect job. I have settled in so well, the customers are great, and I enjoy the banter with them and my colleagues. I couldn’t have done it without the Hub’s support, I am so grateful!’’
